🚨 Critical Requirements - DO NOT SKIP

Moving TO Australia 🇦🇺

1️⃣ Microchip (FIRST, before anything)

ISO 11784/11785 compliant chip. MUST be done before rabies vaccine.

2️⃣ Rabies Vaccination

At least 30 days BEFORE departure. Must show neutralizing antibody titer ≥0.5 IU/ml.

3️⃣ Import Permit (Apply 6+ months ahead)

From Australian Dept of Agriculture. Processing takes 4-8 weeks.

4️⃣ Mandatory Quarantine (Minimum 10 days)

At Melbourne (Mickleham) facility. You CANNOT visit during quarantine.

5️⃣ Official Health Certificate

Issued by government vet within 5 days of departure.

Moving TO Ireland 🇮🇪

1️⃣ Microchip (ISO Standard)

15-digit ISO 11784/11785 chip before rabies vaccine.

2️⃣ Rabies Vaccination

Valid rabies vaccine. Wait 21 days after vaccination before travel.

3️⃣ EU Pet Passport or Health Certificate

If from Australia (non-EU), need official vet health certificate.

4️⃣ Tapeworm Treatment (Dogs only)

1-5 days before entry. Certified by vet on health certificate.

5️⃣ NO Quarantine Required ✅

If all requirements met, pet can come home with you immediately!
